Thacker also completed specialty training in pain management techniques at the Biomedical Acupuncture Institute in Boulder, Colo., and is fully certified in trigger point dry needling through Myopain Seminars. In order to deepen his education and expand his client offerings, Thacker was personally trained by renowned medical acupuncturist and researcher H.C. Dung.

  • "John encourages participation in one’s own healthcare. He decides which points to treat by observing and questioning the patient... John's understanding, kind, and caring personality are assets to the patient..."

    T. Aust, RPh, Salem, Va.
  • "One cannot go wrong with acupuncture...As a primary or complimentary treatment...acupuncture returns the health we were meant to have. It is not a last resort; it is a line of first defense!"

    Judith, Blacksburg, Va.
  • "John has been treating me... for a rare nerve condition. I have been impressed by his determination to find a treatment... There is limited research on this condition and he patiently tries one protocol after another... I trust him implicitly."
